I am a husband, father and American. I care deeply about my family and how they are affected by the world around them. I have opinions and have never been ashamed or scared to share them. I believe everyone should have opinions and should be willing to share them when appropriate. I detest those who waiver with popular opinion, who are shiftless… too scared to take a stand or believe anything, or unwilling to let their beliefs be known. I like to know where a person stands even if they stand opposed to me.
I am writing this blog for me… a place where I can articulate my beliefs and share my thoughts on being a husband and father, a man of faith, a businessman and a proud American. I am not writing for you or for any particular audience and am not concerned with who may chance upon what I write. My only hope is that those that do happen to read this blog will find something here that means something to them, whether in agreement or disagreement, and will influence them in a positive way.
I have been married for over 12 years and have four wonderful children. Most of my time is spent working to support them and enjoying our family time together. We are an active family that enjoys a wide variety of activities and shared interests and are fortunate to have lived in many places throughout the U.S. Being a husband and father is my greatest accomplishment and I truly believe the statement that “no success can compensate for failure in the home.”–David O. McKay.
I have traveled throughout the U.S. and visited many places around the world for business and pleasure, but have barely scratched the surface of this incredible world we live in. Occasionally, I will share some of my thoughts and experiences from some of the places I visit. I love experiencing new places and cultures and believe we can learn so much from people with backgrounds different from our own.
I welcome comments and feedback, so please share your thoughts. Remember to be respectful when leaving comments… at times we will not agree, but we can still maintain a level of honor and decorum in our conversations.
